Farfalle, butter and “Balena” ;)

Classic Recipe

  • 400 g/14oz Farfalle
  • Balena anchovy paste
  • Butter and salt as needed.


Bring a pot of water to the boil and add salt. Add the pasta. While the pasta cooks, slowly melt the butter in a skillet, when it starts to brown (hazelnut colour) add the anchovy paste, and a little of the pasta water to stop the cooking. Drain the pasta when it is al dente, turn into the skillet, stir with the sauce and serve.
